Uncomfortable doing sales

If you’re uncomfortable doing sales conversations then it makes TOTAL sense to avoid anything that leads to one.

That includes all the stuff you’ve probably spent fortunes and countless hours learning

Like advertising, lead generation, content production, direct outreach, networking etc.

The point that a lot of business owners miss is this:

If ALL you offer is a bespoke service, then the ONLY channel someone can buy from you is through this very conversation.

That’s why I spend a lot of time with clients getting them comfortable with this essential activity.

Because if we don’t get a handle on it, their business definitely won’t grow and all the exposure they’re getting won’t lead anywhere.

Once they’re confident with what to say and do in consultations to get a “yes” more frequently and for a fee that’s reflective of their talents,

Then all the other stuff that leads to one is finally put to use and makes sense to prioritise.

The Biggest Breakthrough

A client has grown six times on his previous month sales! He attributed this increase to two main things:

1. He overcame his fear of asking for the right fee on consultations.

I remember how he used to refer to his most valuable package as the one with the “expensive price” and expectedly, no-one ever bought it.

When we worked on getting him comfortable with this offering and seeing its value, someone bought it from him the very next month and without any objections!

2. “Respecting” his business and taking it more seriously

He now understood that if he was going to make this his livelihood, he needed to take a more professional approach to things.

Before, he didn’t have a handle on his numbers or what he was supposed to be doing each day, that changed in February and so did his income.

What’s interesting is that externally things were pretty much the same. What changed was his own perspective.

It goes to show your biggest breakthroughs come from within.

How to get an instant reply from clients

So proud of my brand new coaching client who sends out a few emails to prospects in his niche

And receives an instant reply from someone excited to learn more about his services.

He told me about his lead generation plan on the group call and it sounded like a mess.

His initial strategy would’ve had him waste MONTHS researching and preparing content for a list of prospects that would never even get to see it!

Why? Because his “hard work” would have landed straight into their spam folder.

And all that effort would have gone completely unnoticed.

So I re-wrote his initial email to speak the language of his ideal client, which ironically isn’t even English.

And right away, he received the kind of message every small business owner CAN’T WAIT to see in their inbox.

Previously he would have worked so hard to get a single response like this.

But now he just sends a pre-written email and voila!

That’s what happens when you get your message/market match right.
